What this site is
An educational calculator. It applies the standard structure of a replacement-cost property settlement to figures you supply, and explains what that structure means.
What it is not
It is not legal advice, claims advice, public adjusting, or an insurance service. Nothing here creates a professional relationship of any kind, and no result should be treated as a statement of what your insurer owes you. Your policy governs your claim. Where the two disagree, your policy wins and this site is simply wrong.
Accuracy
The calculations are performed carefully and the method is published so you can check it. Even so, results depend entirely on the figures you enter and on assumptions that may not match your policy. No warranty is given that any result is accurate, complete or suitable for your situation.
Verify anything that matters with your adjuster, your policy documents, or a licensed professional in your state before acting on it.
Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we accept no liability for any loss arising from use of this site or reliance on its output, including any decision to accept, dispute, delay or abandon an insurance claim.
Fair use
Use the calculators as much as you like, for yourself or with clients. Do not scrape the site at volume, republish it as your own, or present its output as a professional assessment you have performed.
Advertising
This site carries third-party display advertising. Advertisements are not endorsements, and advertisers have no influence over the calculations or the guidance.
